Nokia N900 lock code

Should be 12345 but sometimes it don’t work even after factory reset.

Following the following YouTube guide.

Note: I discovered mine was actually 6 digits long so when he edits the JohnTheRipper ini to only scan for 5 digits you might want to skip that and leave it at min 1 digit and max 8.

Also because of what JohnTheRipper is, you’re AV software might flag it falsely as not safe.

N900 unlock

EDIT- Might as well do 1 to 10 in the johntheripper ini file as 10 is the max and maybe what the code was set to.  And as it’s only digits won’t take too long.

Linksys WAP54G connection issue

Trying to reset it but can’t then get access?

Hold in factory reset button at back for about 1min. Once restarted, this is the important bit and why I couldn’t get on. You need to set your NIC IP to static. Use an Ethernet cable to plug directly in back (maybe able to get on via wifi if it’s been set to on). IP of Linksys should be 192.168.1.245 so set your static IP to something on same subnet, like 192.168.1.10 and subnet 255.255.255.0 and leave reset blank for now.

That’s it. Then in your browser put 192.168.1.245 and you’ll get asked for login details. This is also the annoying bit as appears to be no user name, so just leave blank but the password is admin

Humax dvr & cheap dvd player hooked up to it.

Humax needs to be in standby for dvd playback. Just put dvd in and turn Humax off so goes to standby (don’t turn humax off at back as dvd signal goes through it to the TV). Dvd menu should appear, if no picture but DVD sound then check scart cable at back, might be lose. Finally get a picture but it stuck in black and white. Check screen setup on dvd menu is set to PAL.

Dvd player was/is a Acoustic Solutions unit.
